Precursor to update
It sure has been awhile since I have sat down to write anything at all. I have been an A number one slacker on my Blog. But my focus has been on work and on our baby. It’s neat to see what has happened over the last year and how God has slowly shifted and changed the course of our lives. At the beginning of the year, we were seriously considering moving to Jamaica. Now, not so much. It still is a dream of mine (which is always trouble when it’s “my dream”, is it God’s?), but it just doesn’t seam to be in God’s plan for us right now. Why has it changed, well several reasons. The first being our discovery of Sherry being pregnant in April, the second, not being able to fit a trip down to Jamaica in our schedule or budget, and last me getting a part-time job in June. Add all this up and it means we are staying in Newburgh for now. I started a new job at Automatic Irrigation Supply in June, which I thoroughly enjoy. We supply the PVC pipe, sprinkler heads, controllers and fittings for irrigation systems. We also sell Pond kits and supplies and outdoor lighting. It is a nice change from the car business, and looks like it may turn out to be a long term job. The only drawback is that it is seasonal. So the winter months are slow, and I will be laid off for 4-6 weeks depending on the weather. But we are prepared for this because I took another part-time job delivering pizzas for Papa John’s and heck last month I made more money there working less hours. So with God’s blessing and help we should be able to weather the winter months even with the new addition. I’ll tell you more about the baby in a subsequent Blog, along with the rest of the crazy month from November 1st to December 1st….

Hey. It was so good to see you. Sherry, and little Allie(is it spelled right) at christmas. Nice to know our prayers were answered and mom & baby are well.
Good to see you back. Just checked my RSS feed updates from being gone to "Indiana Bible Conference" aka church camp, in Marshall, Indiana.
Something mentioned there that comes to mind when you were talking about Jamaica and it being "your dream" vs. is it actually God's plan....
"God's work, done in God's way, will never lack for God's provision."
In the book of Ezra after Babylon was defeated by the Persians, the Persian pagan king stated that HE had a vision from God and that the captives could go back home to build the temple. Later in Ezra the pagan Persian empire paid out of their treasury for the Israelites to re-build the temple. Amazing.
Missed you Tuesday night!
