Words I Sing in Prayer

The following is just a collection of phrases and praises I put together that I sing in prayer during some quiet times. Nothing ground breaking, just from the heart.

Holy, Holy, Holy Hallelujah
Glory, Glory, Glory Hallelujah

Hallowed be thy name
I want to spread your fame
All over earth
and the universe

Praise be to this king
It’s to your mercy we do sing
He is awesome and revered
To be loved and to be feared

Praise Praise to your Name!
Holy...Hallelujah!

Praise Praise to your Name!
Holy...Hallelujah!

Thanks be to your grace
On an undeserving race
We bow down to seek your face
To worship and to pray

Thankful for this day-
Oh Holy Hallelujah Wonderful, Comforter
You surely govern all

With tender heart that knows no bounds
Our knees will bend at the sound..
Of Your... Ho-ly Name!

Praise!

You are my Omni in all... Above all
Drawing close to us
If dare we try
With your signature spread across the sky

Wor-thy, Wor-thy, be..your Name!
Glory Hal-le-lujah
Praise be..
To
Our
God!

Lord and Savior
Of
Us
All!

It’s in faith
We per
se
vere
Steadfastly
with
no
despair

Earnestly seeking
to gaze upon the beauty
but wholly dependant
upon on your truth

Worthy!
Holy!
Glory!
PRAISE TO YOUR NAME!

Diviner

From behind frosted glass my eyes
can’t see the future so blurred,
and like a newborn in unsure arms
inside my chest my soul does stir,
to this and all but no other
beginning with a tremor it begins with a flutter,
always here from the start you see
deeply felt, forever flying free,
continuing on invisible paths so don’t stray
but inherently knowing the way,
not blackened but lost in a dark cave
going forward do they dare to say...goodbye
we try and when it is done
falling down stumbling like a drunk bum
experience counts with the rod in hand
vibrations felt in the heart when traversing this land
in search of what must be found
because all lives are bound
by a thirst for the truth not lies
if no answer is found not just our bodies will die

Somebody Prayed him Home

Looking up but not seeing the truth through the haze
of deception and lies, if I could only open my eyes
and be free from the flesh that wraps me up and holds my hand,
staining me with fingerprints and crime scene clues
and promising me anything but giving me blues,
driving down a newly paved road
that only covers the old potholes and years of abuse,
looks so easy to maneuver down that avenue,
a trek into lights that blind and confuse,
utilizing your fog lights to help you on your journey,
only to run into a traffic jam of so called friends and coworkers
who help clog the road to your final destiny.
not until you see a small opening, but can you make that turn,
it looks deserted barely traveled, an old county road,
but just like the interstate highways, will get the job done,
and avoiding the din and the pollution,
finally allowing you to travel quickly
and get where you didn’t know you were going... home to him

Great Website about the Davinci Code

I have not read the fictional book "The Davinci Code", so I will not comment on something I have not read. With all of the hype behind the book, I find it interesting all the controversy a book written nearly 2000 years after the events of Christ are weighed more heavily than the Bible, whose accuracy is less than a hundred years to eye witness accounts. Seems to me another attempt to discredit what is felt and known in most peoples hearts down deep. The truths of the Bible are hard to reject if one really exams his heart and accepts right from wrong. We know when we are sinning, most just don't want to stop the behavior which is self satisfying. Me included, but we are accountable to each other, even if we don't believe we are accountable to God. I guess we will all see who is right or wrong when we are dead. I choose to go with my heart, and if I'm wrong what have I really lost, NOTHING. If I am right, I have gained EVERYTHING, and thats my eternal soul.

For those of you interested here is a great website about the Davinci Code to help you understand the claims of the Code and its attempt to discredit the Bible and seperating FACT from FICTION.

Arrows

I know I've been putting a lot of poems lately, but I have not had the time I wanted to write on here. I still wanted there to be new postings for you to be reading. Thank all of you for checking out my site, and thank you for your supportive comments. Just one thing, today was a great day! A mothers day we could celebrate with all of our hearts without any disappointment. It's still taking some getting used to being only 8 1/2 weeks. Doesn't seem quite real yet, but awesome to think what's to come. Christmas will be coming early this year, December 15th!

Here's another poem I wrote in the last year. Similar themes as the others, but my focus, my life, all of my desire is to lead a life worthy of the sacrifice Christ made for me. It's all I want and all I need. Any small thing I can do or I can write, to express the thanks and gratitude I have for the change in me, change in my life and the blessings I have received from Jesus, is not enough. I only want to give God the glory and the honor he deserves. The following poem is titled, Arrow, after the many ways we are taken out, wounded or derailed during our life, and the hope we have if we give our lives over to Him.

Thank you for Christ and the blood He shed
Conquering death, He rose from the dead
Enduring our punishment, remaining pure to the end
Though death which was certain, His Son He did send
Crying out from Gesthemane, with a blood stained brow
Your will, not mine, I’m ready to now
Free men we have been, to look the other way
Ignoring the facts, living lives day by day
With self-centered thoughts, how much stuff can I get
Don’t bother me now, 'til I earn another cent
Too much time for our work, no time for our brothers
I’ll see my family at Christmas, or some time or another
We long for acceptance, to know we have made it
To get to the top, I’m sure that will save me.

Cover our hurt, nothing wrong with me
I have a great life, oh I hope they can’t see
The hurt that resides, behind these sad eyes,
Life is just getting stuff, only waiting to die
There once was some hope, until arrows were shot
Straight to the heart, dreams dashed on the rocks
The deepest desire, to feel loved, whole, and worthy
Don’t let them get close, I hope they won’t hurt me.

Little did we know, there always was One
He knew who we were, before we begun
All the bad that we’ve done, all the hurt we have spoken
Who loves us forever, accepted us broken
It’s our hearts that he wants, to bind, mend and set free
Just crack open the door, and His love you will see,
Yes He will set Your heart Free.
